The Evolution of DAMIAN STRiVER.
Strive For Greatness
Damian started playing football at age 4½ at RKSV Pancratius and, from age five, played twin games with SC Badhoevedorp. His father was his first coach and remains closely involved in his technical development today. From an early age, team football was reinforced by extra Coerver and Born to Play Elite training and individual sessions with his uncle, former professional player Gerald Vanenburg.
He also trained with Co Meijer. That foundation took him through AFC's U8, U9 and U10 selection teams and AVV Zeeburgia U11, competing at U13 level and winning championships along the way.
Despite interest and trial opportunities from AFC Ajax and Feyenoord, Damian played for FC Volendam, spending six seasons from U12 through U17 in a professional academy environment. International opportunities followed: seven days at Ciudad Real Madrid at age 14, KNVB Future training, and five-day training periods with AS Roma and Inter Milan at age 15. He later joined the FC Twente / Heracles Academy, progressing from U17 to second-year U19, with FC Twente U23 exposure, FC Twente first-team minutes in a friendly and a place in the FC Twente Futures Selection. STRiVER continues working toward the next step: professional football. The journey continues…

Joined the FC Twente/Heracles Academy in January 2025 through a winter transfer. Progressed to U19 level at just 17 years old and is now in his second U19 season (2026/27), establishing himself as starting left winger wearing the number 11 shirt.

Academy pathway · Six Seasons
Developed through six seasons at FC Volendam's academy as a right & left winger, progressing from U12 to U17. A key period in his technical development, tactical awareness, creativity and attacking efficiency. Played a major role in the U16 championship-winning team, contributing directly to 30 goals in 27 matches through goals and assists.

AVV Zeeburgia
Amsterdam · U11-1 selection · playing at U13 level
Joined AV Zeeburgia from AFC U10, competing at U13 level with his U11 team to gain early experience on a full-sized pitch. As a starting winger on both flanks, Damian was one of the team’s key attacking players, helping secure the winter championship.
He subsequently joined FC Volendam U12 to continue his development in professional academy football.

FOUNDATION · U8–U10
Amsterdamsche Football Club (AFC)
Amsterdam · First-team Selections U8-1 -U9-1 -U10-1
After his football journey at SC Badhoevedorp, Damian was selected for AFC's U8-1 first team. He went on to play at the highest selection level throughout his three seasons at one of the Netherlands' largest amateur football clubs, representing the U8-1, U9-1 and U10 first teams.
Primarily playing as a right winger, while also featuring on the left, Damian further developed his technical ability, close ball control and confidence in 1v1 and 1v2 situations. During his time at AFC Amsterdam, he also won the league championship with the U9-1 team.
During this period, Damian was invited for trials at AFC Ajax, where he trained with the academy squad and scored twice in an official Ajax U10 match against Sparta Rotterdam U10.

Early Exposure to European Football Excellence.
